National NucMed Data Platform
The National Nuclear Medicine Data Platform initiative aims to establish an integrated, multi‑center data infrastructure to support research and innovation in nuclear medicine and TRT. The initiative focuses on unlocking knowledge by facilitating collaboration. By enabling the safe storage, exchange, and analysis of nuclear medicine data in compliance with GDPR, a national platform would significantly improve data availability and digital collaboration between hospitals. This is particularly important given the limited size of single‑center datasets in nuclear medicine, as a shared platform allows for more advanced analyses, such as on dose–effect relationships in TRT and research in PET and SPECT imaging optimization. While exploratory discussions with key partners and alignment with existing national and international initiatives have taken place, further budget and manpower are needed to initiate development and implementation.
