The Netherlands lead in the production of isotopes and the research quality, but without stronger translation we risk losing the cures for the Dutch patient and the economic value for the Netherlands. The nuclear medicine field currently lacks dedicated thematic translational support to turn nuclear medicine discoveries into clinical treatments and investable innovations. Oncode Institute is therefore exploring the possibility to translate the Oncode Institute model to NucMed in order to obtain a programmatic valorization support hub. Key to realizing this support is to identify the specific valorization gaps in the field, cross-disciplinary collaboration, industry engagement and structural funding.
