National Dosimetry & Radiobiology Center
National coordination is needed for both research & clinical implementation of dosimetry to unravel underlying radiobiological mechanisms and find potential dose-response relationships which can be used to optimize and personalize TRT. A long-term goal is a physical Dosimetry & Radiobiology center where research and clinical dosimetry work can be centrally performed for hospitals, industry and knowledge institutes. Currently the Dosimetry Core Unit exists as collaborative dosimetry research hub to enable consistently effective and safe radionuclide therapy. The DCU currently includes 5 partners. To enable translation towards clinical implementation, the NVKF and NVNG will take a role, possibly in the form of an NVKF Knowledge platform.
