This initiative aims to bring together nationwide expertise to establish a Dutch NWO Large‑Scale Research Infrastructure (LSRI) that significantly strengthens the production and characterization of novel radionuclides and tracers. By creating a distributed infrastructure that includes advanced accelerator facilities such as PARTREC at UMCG, the initiative will improve research efficiency and increase scientific output across the field. A coordinated, collaborative approach will optimize access to specialized facilities, enable high‑quality tracer development, and support innovation in nuclear medicine and TRT. The concept is currently under development, and partners are actively being sought to jointly build and realize this comprehensive national research infrastructure.
